Joshua Holden is a business executive with experience spanning international operations, energy, and heavy civil construction. As a proud graduate of Wake Forest University with degrees in Business and Spanish, he developed an early foundation in cross-cultural communication and commerce that has defined his approach to leadership and enterprise-building throughout his career.

Josh began his professional career with Kiewit Construction in South Texas, where he gained hands-on field experience and built strong working relationships within a predominantly Hispanic workforce—an experience that naturally drew him to Mexico City, where he spent eight years honing his business acumen and perfecting his Spanish. During that time, he advanced through the ranks at Multimedia Games from a sales role into senior leadership, ultimately serving as General Manager of the company’s International Division.

Returning to Texas, Josh took on a series of roles across the oil and gas sector, gaining hands-on experience in project execution, asset management, and operations. Drawing on that foundation, he founded Perdido Energy in 2016. As its chief executive, Josh has grown the company into a regional operator along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast, with a workforce of over 100 employees and operational responsibility for more than 500 wells. Perdido excels at identifying and unlocking value in underutilized assets, with rigorous analysis and disciplined execution.

With Perdido Energy’s success, Josh set sights on forging a legacy. In 2021, he expanded into heavy civil construction with the acquisition of Longhorn Excavators, a company specializing in landfill cell construction and mass civil excavation projects. Longhorn has over 175 employees and prides itself on delivering exceptional, timely projects for multiple clients located throughout the US.

Most recently, Josh acquired CBP Environmental in 2025, further extending his presence in the mass excavation and environmental services space. He recognized CBP’s institutional knowledge and scalable potential, with their world-class operating team and impressive 30-year track record of successful and challenging CCR and landfill projects.

Across each of his ventures, Josh has prioritized a commitment to and investment in long-term organizational development, operational excellence, and building teams equipped to perform at the highest levels. He currently serves as a member of YPO Houston, Houston ADAM, and sits on the executive committee of the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association.
